Day 01 9 Sep – Our driver will meet you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will be transferred using a city vehicle. You will also have option to visit Masai market, a local supermarket or shopping mall, you could enjoy your dinner at your own choice and cost.

Day 02 10 Sep – Today, depart to Sentrim Elementaita Lodge (2.5 hours’ drive). The hotel located on the shores of the Lake Elementaita in Naivasha region, it is the perfect launchpad for exploring the natural beauty and wildlife of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. The hotel is not only home to our resident both Vervet and Colobus monkeys, but it is also easy to see hundred types of birds. In the afternoon you will enjoy a boat rideto see the hippos in this freshwater lake.

Day 03 11 Sep – Today, you’ll depart to Masai Mara (6 hours’ drive), Kenya’s superlative wildlife-watching destination. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing. Game drives are a great way to experience the park and they take place all year round. If the big cats are what you’re looking for on your safari, you are guaranteed to spot them at the Mara. For bird lovers, the Mara birds come in every color and size with more than 400 bird species, including birds of prey. You will be staying at Mara Chui Resort for 3 nights. The lodge is carefully engineered to blend with the Mara safari spirit and overlooking the Oloolamutia Hills of Masai Mara and tacked under ancient trees. Arrive the lodge in good time for lunch, then head out into the wilderness for a dusk safari from 1600 to 1800.

Day 04 12 Sep – Today, with our private Minivan and safari guide, you’ll spend a full day (from 0800 to 1600) exploring the Masai Mara, home to Africa’s Big Five and the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. Arguably the world’s greatest safari destination, the Mara boasts thriving populations of zebra, impala, gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo and elephant on the plains; lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs on the prowl; plus hippos and crocodiles lurking in the Mara and Talek Rivers. We would like to offer complimentary guided nature walk along the Mara River to see crocodiles and hippos (guide tips excluded), so that you could enjoy the unique experience in Africa and this would be very special and unforgettable experience.

Day 05 13 Sep – Today, you’ll spend a full day (from 0800 to 1600) exploring the Masai Mara.

Day 06 14 Sep – Today, you’ll depart to Lake Nakuru National Park (6 hours’ drive). Noted for its year-round natural beauty, featuring rocky escarpments and pockets of acacia trees. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to rhinos, leopards, lions and endangered Rothschild giraffes. You’ll be staying at Eagle Palace Hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of Nakuru city, set on a serene location and within a walking distance from the town’s business district and ideal for visitors to the popular tourist destinations of Lake Nakuru. You will enjoy full day game drive with packed lunch provided.

Day 07 15 Sep – After breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi (3 hours’ drive). We will offer the complimentary Nairobi sightseeing city tour. You will also have option to visit Masai market, a local supermarket or shopping mall, you could enjoy your lunch and dinner at your own choice and cost.

Notes:

  • Due to the remote location of certain safari accommodations, hot meals during lunch may not be advisable.
  • Transport on safari is provided in Safari Minivan or 4X4 Land Cruiser Jeep. City and other similar transfers may be provided in city minivans, shuttles or other vehicles. The company reserves the right to employ the services of sub-contractors where necessary.
  • For any domestic flight, check-in 60 minutes before departure at Nairobi-Wilson and 30 minutes elsewhere. Luggage allowance is strictly 15 kgs including hand luggage in soft bags. As the aircrafts are small the luggage space is limited. When excess baggage is carried will be charged at the prevailing freight charges. It’s possible to store luggage either at your hotel if you are returning thereafter your trip or in our offices.
  • According to the government policy, it’s required that you get yellow fever vaccination 10 days before you travel if traveling from a country with risk of the yellow fever virus transmission.
  • Kenya and Tanzania banned plastic bags, please prepare and use recycle bags.
  • Smoking is restricted in the room and in public. Client will be fully responsible if they break the rule.

D2 – D7, 4X4 Land Cruiser Jeep during Safari

Descriptions:

– The Jeep’s 4 x 4 all-wheel drive and higher platform will get you through the toughest terrain, up hills.

– The higher seating in a Jeep creates better visibility to view and photograph wildlife.

– Jeeps go where other vehicles fear to tread – head deeper into the bush and easily go off-road to pursue that elusive leopard. – The Jeep’s special suspension offers a more comfortable ride on rough ground.

– More roomy and stable than a minivan.

– The Jeep’s pop up top ensures an unobstructed view.

Luggage

Please note that plastic bags are banned in Kenya and Tanzania, please prepare and use recycle bags!
It is advisable to carry your belongings in soft-sided, sturdy duffle bags as per the below picture especially for flight safaris as most local airlines have a strict baggage allowance of 15 kgs per passenger including hand luggage. Any added baggage weight is chargeable. For a complete road safari in Kenya or Tanzania, you can carry luggage weight of up to 23 kgs per person.

Clothing List

As you’ll be spending hours in your safari vehicle, we recommend you pack loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. The below list will guide you on suitable clothing:

  • Short-sleeve shirts or T-shirts
  • Pairs of shorts
  •  Long-sleeve shirts for evening times (for protection from sun and mosquitoes)
  • Pairs of cotton trousers or light pants/skirts – Pick neutral color tones like khaki, stone and brown ✓ 1 light weight warm jacket or fleece (Morning and nights can get chilly)
  • 1 wide-brim hat with an under-chin tie (to stop it from being blown off in open-top vehicles)
  • Comfortable walking shoes – closed walking field shoes/boots
  • Lightweight sandals or flip flops (for wearing around the camp)
  • Cotton socks and underwear
  • Buff, scarf or bandana (good for dust)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sports bra for women. Some of the roads in the reserve are not well maintained and can be bumpy
