After breakfast. Visit the Aceh State Museum, where you can learn about the region’s history and culture. Explore Gunongan Park, a historical site built for the sultan’s queen, and the Tsunami Museum, a poignant reminder of the 2004 disaster. Shop at souvenir shops, visit the Fishing Boat on the Roof, an actual boat placed on a building after the tsunami, shopping at Pasar Atjeh. After breakfast, shop for local goods at Pasar Aceh, a bustling market offering clothes, veils, and traditional items. Visit the Dome in the Rice Field, a historical mosque located in the middle of a rice field. Continue to Cut Nyak Dhein’s House, the home of a national hero who fought against Dutch colonization. Taste local Acehnese cakes at the central market, and visit Lhoknga Beach, a popular spot for surfers. Explore Rahmatullah Mosque, known for its unique architecture, and Lam Puuk Beach, a serene escape. Enjoy lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.
